At the beginning of my story, the audience are lead to believe that Alexia is the antagonist. But there is no certainty to this. Alexia was born a god along with her twin brother, Alexander. And of course, Xerestria can only be ruled by a single god. One will rule, and the other will be sent to Xerestria to live normally with only a quarter left of his/her power. They will both be trained equally until the day when one will be physically mature enough (this is taken literally) to rule. We all know, though, that females physically mature faster than males and so, Alexia was given the throne for Xerestria was in desperate need of a god since these were the times of destruction caused by warring worlds. Alexander could not accept this and not knowing that she would give him the throne when he’s ready, he attempted to end her. Faking death, Alexia was able to escape barely able to simply breathe. Despite this, she forgave her brother’s devious act and continued living, slowly regaining the power and energy she had lost.

            She took shelter within one of Xerestria’s small province. She was a nice girl, calm, meek and shy. But her life did not run smoothly. On a moonless night, a group of young men tried to feed their lustful needs through her. At her last desperate attempt to free herself from their ugly grasps, she mistakenly took their lives. The bloodbath was agonizing; her mind could not absorb the fact that she had taken lives. She knew she had to protect herself but the massacre that had just occurred was unbelievable. The execution of those lustful young men wasn’t all wrong, but the aftermath was tormenting. Now that she had lost the new home she was finally able to settle in and the power and energy she had slowly regained over the years, she almost lost herself to insanity.

            This is just a prologue of her twisted tale. The underlying cause of her change of heart still remains a mystery. All that there is to know for now would be the fact that she had grown into a sadistic creature who had lost all sorts of emotions, keeping up to her brother’s pace in her own brutal ways. She has come to a conclusion that if it not for her brother’s hunger for power, she would never have lived such a horrible life. A wonder though, did she really lose all her heart? Or is there something still left within her?
